Jesse Ward has stumbled through life drinking and partying in the rooms of his high-end sex club, The Manor, numbing himself with the pain, grief, and guilt of his wrongdoing. Pleasure and alcohol are his medicine. Hedonism is all he knows.

That’s how he manages.

How he survives.

Until Ava O’Shea walks into his office and surprises him with her stunning beauty, ambition and drive. It only takes one look into her eyes, a touch on her skin, and a murmured word for her heart to leap into action and offer her something she never thought possible. A distraction from his daily torment. A semblance of peace.

Women never turn down Jesse Ward. You will fall at his feet, melting from his charismatic and sneaky smile and obeying his every suggestive command. All except the one woman who, without realizing it, becomes his obsession and the only thing that can prevent him from being on the brink of self-destruction.

He needs Ava and would do anything to have her.

He hides every last skeleton in her big closet.

Because the truth could destroy them both.

I read the This Man series a few years ago and it has become one of my favorites. I remember loving Jesse and Ava’s relationship. I’m so glad we get to see Jesse’s point of view in this new version! It was nice to be inside Jesse’s mind when he met Ava. I had a great time reading this and walking back to the mansion.

I literally could not put This Woman book down! Jesse was so far from Ava from the start. He is one of the most obsessed heroes I have ever read about and I loved him so much! He will literally do anything to have her! The way he yearned for her was absolutely amazing. I love it when the hero is determined to have the heroine and won’t take no for an answer. There was so much fear and drama to keep me entertained throughout the story. The spice was also very spicy 🥵

The writing style was amazing. I’ve always liked how relatable Jodi writes her characters. How you can literally feel her emotions through the pages. This was a true masterpiece. He had never read a romance novel with a hero who was so in love with his girl. Wow. I can’t stop thinking about Jesse Ward ❤️

I enjoyed reading about Jesse’s past and the things that happened to him that shaped his life. My heart broke for him and how he battled alcoholism. Ava was his place of comfort. They really are soul mates. If you like possessive and obsessed heroes, then Jesse Ward is your man 😜 Can’t wait for the next book! Please read this now!

I was like many other women who read Jodi’s This Man trilogy when it came out, and at various points throughout this series I had a love or hate relationship with Jesse Ward. I even went so far as to message Jodi with some very passionate opinions about him after reading Beneath This Man. To this day I GO SUGAR every time I think about it, but hey I just started reading again and was new to contact to the authors on FB.

It’s also what makes me gasp every time I walk up to her at a book signing, sure she’ll remember that “crazy American” who voiced her opinion on Jesse’s antics. But isn’t that the mark of a truly talented writer, to be able to send readers into a frenzy about what their characters are doing?

To say that I was excited to learn Jesse’s side of the story is an understatement. Over the years, I’ve devoured all the tidbits of Jesse’s point of view to try to understand his way of thinking, his motivations, and his way of thinking about how and why he does things. what he does And this story begins with a bang? The prologue already brought tears to my eyes with this first glimpse into his life as a teenager and the events that sent him into a downward spiral.

I was absolutely mesmerized by this story. For someone who wanted to be a psychologist growing up, this story has a lot going for it. It’s not simply a retelling of the events that took place in the trilogy from Jesse’s point of view, it felt like a whole new story. Admittedly, I didn’t re-read anything before starting This Woman, but it felt brand new to me. Especially since Jodi digs so much deeper into Jesse. The things that used to frustrate me about Jesse have a new and deeper meaning to me that I never thought I would say, but this love-hate relationship I have with Jesse is slowly turning into love.

It was a lot of fun seeing the whole gang again. Aside from Sarah, I highly doubt I’ll ever find a bone of sympathy for her. I just love Juan! I can’t wait to see who they cast for him when Passionflix films this series.

As always, Jodi writes in a way that he really resonates with me. The story flowed smoothly and I couldn’t stop reading it. I don’t think I’ve read a book that fast in a long time! I am SO happy to be back at Central Jesse Cloud Nine!
