My mom told me I could be anything I want and turns out I want to be an alpha werewolf. I’m finally starting to get used to this alpha nonsense as fate takes the helm once again.

There’s a prophecy about me and it’s about time I found out what it says. So if my best friend Jess hatches a lunatic plan to take over the prophecy with hooks or crooks, I’ll be ready before you can say “bail money.”

Putting my wolf paws on the prophecy is just the beginning though, as I’m not the only one aware of its existence. Some of my enemies will really stop at nothing to prevent the prophecy from coming to true. I have a fight ahead of me, so it’s lucky to have super soldier Greg Manners by my side.

I’m a pretty laid back alpha, but if unknown wolves sneak onto my land and attack my unicorn, all bets are off. No one attacks my little killer Ares and gets away with it.

Beckett Frost approaches me with thoughts of revenge; the black witch is still free, ready to steal powers and destroy lives; I have enemies swarming around me so I do what any girl would do and name my family my weird alternate birth family. I need allies, and fast, because war is coming for the Home Counties Pack whether we are ready or not.

Luckily that Esme was born smart.

Bring it on.

This is the third book in the series and I would be irritated if Miss Heather Harris does not continue. The pitchforks are coming Heather lol (inside joke)! There are so many twists and turns in this book I didn’t know where up was!

I don’t know how Heather Harris managed to do this without looking disheveled. The most important thing for Lucy is to solve the mystery of her prophecy that led to the death of her parents. Lucy has not forgotten the curse of the gargoyles. More importantly, Lucy hasn’t given up trying to find out who the black witch is. When I say my jaw hit the ground with it, I’m not kidding! Luckily Lucy has support such as her deputy/boyfriend, Mr. Manners, Greg. Heather Harris continues to make me swoon and occasionally blush with her relationship and cheers me up from time to time.

I don’t know how Lucy ties it all together. She was almost killed by her boyfriend’s succubus before she even knew the other existed. He had to kill the previous Alpha to protect the pack from a terrible Alpha. He exhausts himself physically and mentally around the clock, trying to earn the pack’s trust while learning who to trust. Learning about each other’s peculiarities all the time. His main skill he is trying to master is his channeling. It’s exhausting just thinking about it. But somehow Heather Harris still makes Lucy a pure, loving soul who just wants to help without being cute or embarrassed.

That’s what’s so special about Heather Harris’ writing, it’s fluid. what do I mean by that? I find myself flowing with events, characters, world building, etc. so vivid I can see it! I can even feel it! It just comes naturally and that’s nothing to ignore!

My favorite parts are the twists and turns. One moment I think I know what’s going to happen and then I don’t know something else entirely. Another moment of minding my own business, just reading and then wham! Surprise out of nowhere! Heather Harris is so misleading and I’m here for every word!

Although not everything is serious. There were many literally laugh out loud moments for me, especially between Lucy and Esme. I can’t get enough of them. Lucy becomes uncomfortable when Esme makes suggestions about her relationship with Greg. Esme doesn’t understand our sayings and traditions. There is literally never a dull moment with these two.

I could say a lot more, but I digress. what are you waiting for now Omitting!
