I have read a lot of books this year and this might be in my top 10 for 2022. The world building, the twists and turns, the character development, the emotions. The book was great. It honestly made me want more on the backend because even though it was quite a long freelance job, I was very into it. I think the last quarter was fast paced plot-wise, while the beginning of the book was a bit slow. But honestly, maybe that was part of the appeal, too. The author drew you in and told us this incredible story of love, triumph, and personal growth that left us wanting more.
That was a great journey through a dark fantasy world! Auset is going through a lot both physically and mentally, but even after escaping from Ludere, she still has a lot of personal growth ahead of her! From kidnapping to Blade Slave training to her pursuit of her past, there are many attempts to break her, but her will to survive is stronger than anything else.
The Scorpios are everything you could want from a morally gray killer love interest (or interests for that matter), and the way they support them in the second half of the book is just swoon-worthy.
This is not a fairy tale novel, but it will definitely stay with me for a long time.
A woman with no memory is forced to become a slave. Three assassins who are not on the market to add to your party. A beautiful story about trust, love, forgiveness and redemption. Very beautiful!
I was lucky enough to be able to read this amazing book as a beta version. And my God, it was epic. I loved Auset and her journey SO MUCH. And I can’t even begin to pick a favorite out of the three Scorpios, ugh. Seriously, such an amazing world and story. He’s a beast of a stand, so buckle up. But it’s more than worth it. And oh my god that so hot and epic. It’s a super dark fantasy, so definitely check out the triggers.
